Website migration

Moving a site is mostly about doing things in the right order. If the database moves but DNS still points at the old server, or the SSL certificate isn’t set up, the site breaks.

How it runs

I list what the site needs to work - database, files, cron jobs, mail, certificates - then move them while the old host stays live. DNS is the last thing to change, once the new server is checked.
